Janyre Tromp is an award-winning developmental editor and author coach by day and a traditionally published writer at night. And that all happens from her kitchen table when she’s not hanging out with her husband, two kids, two troublesome cats, and a slightly eccentric Shetland Sheepdog. Unfortunately, she spilled coffee on her super cape, and then the dryer ate it. So you’ll have to just trust her that she can do it all!
She has spent more than twenty-five years in the book publishing industry working on everything from romance novels to leadership books, from action-adventure novels to parenting books, and from middle grade fiction to memoir. But her expertise lies with story-based books.
For a portion of her career, she ran the marketing department for her employer writing copy for marketing and publicity material. This additional marketing experience gives her insight into reader experience and market analysis—both critical for the creation of proposals and books that are not only well written but will sell.
As a writer herself she understands the writer’s psyche, which makes her gentle yet honest in shaping the structure and texture of the books in her care.
